AL: Rafael Palmeiro with 98 R, 33 2B, 47 HR and 123 RBI. Honorable mention goes out to Fernando Vina, with 95 R, 191 H, 30 2B and .302 AVG, and Mike Lowell, with 37 2B and 100 RBI.

With his 57th HR Luis Gonzalez reaches the mark of 100 extra base hits. Prior to this season 100 extra base hits has only been achieved 11 times. This historic season he joins Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa and Todd Helton who also achieved 100 extra base hits.
